In order to enjoy a secure experience, multi-factor authentication (MFA) with an authenticator app is required to access GLASS upon enrolling in any program.

Before you log in to GLASS:

  1. On your mobile device (phone or tablet), open or install an authenticator app. We recommend Duo Mobile, which is available from the App Store or Google Play. However, you may use any equivalent authenticator app (e.g., Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, etc.).
  2. Open the app and select the option to add a new account. Depending on your app, you may see "Add Account" or "+".
  3. When prompted, select the option to use a QR code.

Log in to GLASS:

  1. Open https://glass.yale.edu/s/login/
  2. Enter your username (email) and password and click Log in.
  3. You will see a QR code.
  4. Use the authenticator app on your mobile device to scan the QR code. Note: You must scan the QR code using the authenticator app. Do not use your regular camera app.
  5. In your authenticator app, continue through the prompts to display your verification code. You may need to tap your account to display the code.
  6. Enter the verification code into the GLASS portal exactly as it appears on your app. The code typically expires every 30 seconds, so be sure that you enter the active code.
  7. Click Connect.
  8. If prompted, enter the verification code again.

IMPORTANT: Each time you log in to GLASS, you will need to open the same authenticator app to get the active verification code. Be sure to keep the authenticator app accessible and do not remove it from your phone.

Please contact onlineprograms@yale.edu for any questions or difficulties regarding MFA.

Learners who are enrolled in any program are required to use MFA to complete the login process.

  1. Open https://glass.yale.edu/s/login/
  2. Enter your username (email) and password and click Log in.
  3. Open the authenticator app that you connected to your account.*
  4. The app will display the active authentication code.
  5. Enter the code exactly as it appears on your app. Please note that the code typically expires every 30 seconds, so you must ensure you enter the active code.

*If you have not yet connected an authenticator app to your account, please refer to the FAQ above How to Set Up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

If you no longer have access to the authentication app connected to your GLASS account, please contact onlineprograms@yale.edu for assistance with resetting your authentication method.

Troubleshooting

  • If you do not see Canvas Login available or if you do not see your Canvas course after logging in, then you have not been enrolled in a Canvas course, or your program has not started yet.
  • If you reach the screen below after clicking Canvas Login, then your Canvas account may still be processing. If you just recently connected your authentication app, please wait at least six hours before trying again. Otherwise, please contact us for assistance.
