Description
How do you turn corporate climate ambition into credible, effective action?
This six-week online course, Navigating Corporate Engagement in Carbon Markets, brings together private sector decision-makers to explore the business case for carbon credits, credit quality and integrity, and strategic guidance for due diligence, partnerships, and risk mitigation.
The course is designed for current or aspiring corporate actors, or consultants to the private sector, facing tough questions:
• When and why should my company prioritize nature-based climate solutions compared with technological solutions?
• How can high-integrity credits be recognized for positive social and environmental impacts?
• What can we do to address and avoid reputational and strategic risks?
Organized by the Environmental Leadership & Training Initiative (ELTI) at the Yale School of the Environment with support from the Yale Center for Natural Carbon Capture (YCNCC), the course aims to support those navigating these decisions—moving climate strategies forward, navigating risk, and figuring out how investments in nature-based carbon credits fit into company goals.
Through expert-led discussion sessions, recorded video lectures, and peer exchange, participants will build knowledge and networks to confidently navigate the evolving landscape of corporate engagement in carbon markets and learn from real-world successes and pitfalls.
