Type 2 diabetes (T2D) is on the rise, affecting an estimated 12% of the U.S. population. With approximately 75% of patients managed in primary care, it is crucial for providers to stay informed about the latest treatment options. This course offers an in-depth overview of the current pharmacologic therapies for T2D, including the various drug classes available. Participants will learn about each class’s mechanism of action, efficacy, benefits, and potential drawbacks. The course also includes practical guidance on prescribing and patient education strategies for each individual class.
